Our Lord Jackal Cape Vintage Reserve fortified wine is made using Portuguese varieties from a small vineyard in the Kammanassie Mountain. This wine is made in a classical style and spent 20 months in a barrel before it was bottled. It is then kept in a bottle for another year before the wine is released. This Cape Vintage Reserve commands attention with its deep black colour and plum-red rim. Aromas of ripe black currant, sweet plum and violets lead to rich notes of dried prunes, glazed cherries, spice and dark chocolate. Full-bodied and well-rounded, the palate bursts with dark fruit flavours and smooth chocolate undertones, supported by firm tannins. A bold, age-worthy wine built to evolve beautifully over the next 30 years—perfect for collectors and special occasions.
